We hereby salute ourselves today for finally signing off the Compute's Gazette SID (CGSC) collection too.
A total of 44388 recordings were performed, where statistics as follows:
11097*4 chip recordings = 44388 MP3 files (196 GB).
11097*4 chip recordings = 44388 FLAC files (417 GB).
Originally we posted 11104 tunes to be recorded, but as some songs are already noted as (BAD) in the CGSC collection, including some findings of our own, we ended up with 11097 tunes that should play fine. (Check our BUGS section).
Anyway, we are currently waiting for the last release in the recording queue to be finished, which are the R2,R3,R4,R5 PAL recordings of HVSC #67. CSG8580R5 is 80% finished, and it seems each chip will take about 6-7 days to complete. That indicates more or less around 2-3 weeks before we're done (mid August 2017).
After that happens, we'll start working on updated database/search/html online system, but also who and where to our mirrored collection of MP3/FLAC files would be uploaded to.
Things will however stay quiet in the recording system between August 2017 until December 2017 when HVSC release #68 will appear. I have other things I want to do with my MMC64, SD2IEC device and Commodore's too - like experimenting with burning EPROMS and fixing some broken C64 (not related to SOASC= recording system, by the way) :-)
CGSC v134 (when available) might take longer to get into the recording queue, as I have not created any tools to find differences yet between current and previous releases of CGSC (CGSC is afterall a new thing to be added in the SOASC= world, but we'll get there eventually).
